I have the heart of a teacher — and a vision for where every student can go.

I earned my degree in secondary math education from BYU, then went straight into raising a family. For thirty years, my kids were my world. Teaching happened constantly — at home, at church, in co-ops — I just never called it a job.

In 2020 I started tutoring neighbors, friends, and family. No business plan, no rates — just math and a desire to help. But something clicked. My kids were older, I was ready to build something of my own, and I realized I'd been a teacher my whole life.

People ask all the time why I don't go teach in the schools. Honestly? I don't want the politics, the metrics, the one-size-fits-all curriculum. I want to teach the way I know works — meeting each student where they are, trying different approaches until something clicks, and not stopping until it does.

In 2024 I branched into group teaching at a local micro school with middle and high schoolers, and I loved it — even the puzzle of building a math program that actually fits a whole group. I love the one-on-one work too: there's nothing quite like sitting beside a student who's decided they're “just not a math person” and watching that belief come apart, one clicked idea at a time. But the work that lights me up most is partnering with homeschool families. No due dates lurking. No metrics to measure up to. Just a student, the subject, and the space to actually learn.
